my feelings about my working practice at the moment ...

About Me

Ellie360: I paint, I write poetry and I make theatre - this is my blog. Here you will find fragments of new paintings, drawings, a bit of set design and some new poems, as well as some musings on the arts in general. As a solo arts practitioner, my main medium is painting, which is invariably influenced by my connection with music. I have synaesthesia (http://www.sussex.ac.uk/synaesthesia/) and therefore perceive music not only as sounds but also shapes, patters and colours (and vice versa). Some of my work is simply translating the music I hear onto canvas. Other work links to work with Reverend - translating old stories into new narratives, setting them in a world on canvas where music is a constant. I am always open to collaborating with artists - this is undoubtedly when I do the work I am happiest with.
